Landford Way, Bournemouth – consulting on proposals for a new play space

Published 9 June 2026

The online survey closed at midnight on Sunday 05 July 2026.

The open space at Landford Way could be transformed into a wonderful new play space for local families – and we’d like your feedback on the proposed location and overall suitability of the proposals.

As part of the BCP Plan for Play, we are exploring the possibility of creating a new play space at Landford Way, to provide a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment for children and families.

In the future, play spaces across the BCP area will be fewer in number but higher in quality, with a greater focus on inclusivity and accessibility. To support this, we are investing more than £4.6 million to improve 120 play sites.

In the Muscliff & Strouden Park area the proposal for an exciting new play space at Landford Way will replace older, smaller play spaces nearby which will have equipment removed once the new alternative is in place.

Consultation is now needed to fully understand the support for a new play space at Landford Way, and we have created a short online survey to collect your views on the proposed location, and overall suitability of the proposed space.
