Sandbanks play area improvement works

The Project

Some much-needed improvements at Sandbanks play area, carried out during January/February 2019, which included:

  • Removal of the old disintegrating planters and wooden edging
  • Replacement of the planters and edging with durable Purbeck Stone
  • Planting up with tolerant seaside species
  • Re-landscaping the drifting sand to uncover buried play equipment
  • Some remedial works to the play equipment
